About the company
Efference provides high-performance perception and compute infrastructure for training and deploying robot models in the cloud. Our vision is to make robotic deployments scalable with shared compute.
We approach the problem by owning the entire path from the image sensor to the datacenter GPU. We shrink the load at the sensor, fix the uplink so robot traffic is fast and reliable, and clock synchronize the system so observations arrive time-aligned, ready for inference.
About the role
You'll work directly with Efference's founders to turn company priorities into completed work across engineering, customers, hiring, and operations. You'll own projects that cross team boundaries, make decisions and dependencies visible, and build practical operating habits as the company grows.
What you’ll do
- Maintain a clear view of company priorities, milestones, owners, and dependencies across product development, manufacturing, and customer deployments.
- Prepare planning and operating reviews, identify stalled decisions, and follow actions through to a result with the responsible teams.
- Take on defined projects that lack an owner, such as a new operating process, a company-wide rollout, or preparation for a major customer milestone.
- Build concise analyses of headcount, spending, capacity, and business performance with the relevant owners, making assumptions and tradeoffs explicit.
- Help prepare investor and board materials, maintain supporting information, and coordinate diligence and external advisers when needed.
- Improve hiring coordination, onboarding, internal communication, and information access without adding process that slows the team down.
What we are looking for
- Experience taking ambiguous business or operational projects from a loosely defined problem to an implemented result.
- Strong analytical ability and comfort working with spreadsheets, operating metrics, budgets, and incomplete information.
- Clear writing and an ability to summarize a complex issue, identify the decision needed, and recommend a practical next step.
- Judgment and discretion when handling sensitive company information, competing priorities, and difficult conversations.
- Ability to earn trust across technical and nontechnical teams, follow through on details, and challenge a plan constructively.
Nice to Have
- Experience at an early hardware, robotics, infrastructure, or other technically complex company.
- Work in business operations, technical program management, finance, consulting, or company building with direct execution responsibility.
- Experience supporting fundraising, recruiting, manufacturing ramp, or enterprise customer deployments.
